Job Summary
As an IT Systems Administrator for the City of Waldheim, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure across the town hall, various satellite offices, and local schools. Your day-to-day activities will involve the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software, with a heavy focus on Windows Server environments and network components. You will play a pivotal role in the city's digital transformation by implementing the Online Access Act (OZG) and managing virtualization environments like VMware or Hyper-V. The role is uniquely varied, combining hands-on user support with high-level network security and license management. This position offers the stability of the public service sector (TVöD) with 30 days of vacation and flexible working hours. While initially a one-year fixed-term contract, there is a clear intention to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in an IT-related field or vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, IT Systems Electronics Technician, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the installation and maintenance of server and client hardware
- Proven experience in network administration and IT security concepts
- Experience in managing virtualization environments and cloud services
- Experience in project management related to digitalization and public administration software
- Experience in providing technical user support and conducting internal training
