Job Summary
As the first in-house Electrician for KUGU, you will serve as the critical link between innovative IoT technology and physical building systems. Your daily responsibilities involve installing and commissioning IoT devices, gateways, and sensors within heating systems across Berlin and the surrounding area. Beyond installation, you will perform maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues on-site, and provide essential training to customers and external service providers. This role is unique because it offers significant creative freedom to help build and standardize the technical department of a growing green-tech company. You will directly contribute to climate protection by optimizing energy consumption in residential buildings through digital solutions. The position is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working independently and wants to see the measurable impact of their work on CO2 reduction.
Required Skills
Education
Vocational training in the electrical field or HVAC (SHK) is required; a journeyman's certificate (Gesellenbrief) is preferred but practical experience is prioritized.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical or HVAC (SHK) roles is mandatory
- Practical experience in installing and commissioning technical equipment at building sites
- Experience in independent work organization and on-site decision making
- Experience with IoT devices, fieldbuses, or building management systems is preferred
- Experience in training technicians or customers is an advantage

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must be based in or near Berlin with willingness for occasional regional travel (a few days per month).
