Job Summary
As an IBM i / AS400 System Engineer at Grouplink IT Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining modern IT infrastructures for a diverse client base. Your daily responsibilities include the installation, configuration, and administration of IBM Power systems, encompassing HMC, LPAR, and VIOS environments. You will be responsible for implementing backup, storage, and high-availability solutions, while also managing system updates and troubleshooting complex technical issues. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close interaction with project teams and clients to create technical concepts and optimize system performance. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in IT or a comparable professional qualification.
Experience
- 2-5 years of professional experience in the IBM Power and infrastructure environment
- Professional experience in consulting and implementing customer projects
- Experience in system administration, including release changes and system optimization
- Proven track record in storage management and high-availability solutions
