Job Summary
As a Systems Technician for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at Voltfang, you will play a critical role in securing the future of sustainable energy. Operating from a digital control room, your day-to-day responsibilities involve the 24/7 live monitoring of battery storage units via SCADA systems. You will be the first point of contact for malfunctions, responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and classifying alarms. Your technical expertise will be used for remote troubleshooting—such as firmware checks and parameter resets—and coordinating with second-level support. This role is ideal for proactive professionals who enjoy technical problem-solving and want to contribute directly to the energy transition. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in a control room, network control center, SCADA environment, or technical plant monitoring
- Professional experience in electrical engineering, energy technology, or mechatronics
- Experience in identifying and classifying technical alarms and system deviations
- Experience in customer communication and internal coordination during technical malfunctions
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to work in shifts and provide on-call duty (24/7 control room operations) is required. Must be comfortable working under time pressure in critical situations.
