Job Summary
This role involves providing critical technical support to the District Police Department of Märkischer Kreis within the Criminal Investigation Division. As a Digital Forensics Specialist, you will be responsible for the evaluation of cell tower data, video, and audio files, as well as the analysis of secured digital evidence across various crime categories. Your day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical data for origin and manipulation, advising investigators on interrogation planning based on digital evidence, and representing your findings in court. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in IT systems or communications technology who want to contribute to public safety. The role offers a secure public service contract (TV-L), flexible working hours through a flextime model, 30 days of vacation, and comprehensive health management. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in IT Systems Engineering, Communication Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (DQR Level 6); or State-certified Technician in Information Technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in digital forensics or data evaluation for candidates with technical training
- Experience in computer forensics is highly desirable
- Professional experience in criminal investigation support is preferred for technical applicants
- Experience in the technical evaluation and interpretation of data regarding origin and manipulation
- Experience in presenting technical findings in a legal or court setting
