Job Summary

As an Electrical Design Engineer within the naval shipbuilding sector, you will play a critical role in developing and integrating complex electrical systems for maritime vessels. Your daily responsibilities include conceptualizing on-board power grids, switchgear, cabling, and lighting systems, as well as drafting technical specifications and managing supplier negotiations. You will act as a vital link between internal departments and external partners, ensuring seamless system integration and supporting testing and acceptance procedures directly on board. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Building Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in electrical design for large-scale projects
  • Professional experience with switchgear, cabling, or lighting systems, ideally within naval shipbuilding
  • Experience in creating and maintaining design and test documentation
  • Experience in technical negotiations and steering supplier performance
  • Experience in cross-functional coordination and system integration
