Job Summary

As a Renewable Energy Specialist for the Federal Agency for Real Estate (BImA) in Dortmund, you will be the central point of contact for all renewable energy (RE) initiatives within the North Rhine-Westphalia portfolio. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve systematically analyzing land and building stocks for RE suitability using SAP and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). You will lead the preparation of market offers, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts for land use. Additionally, you will coordinate with planning authorities, conduct economic feasibility studies, and ensure compliance with the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). This position is unique as it offers the stability of a public service role with significant influence over the federal government's energy transition goals. The role is highly collaborative, requiring close communication with headquarters and internal departments to identify and manage properties suitable for sustainable energy production.
