Job Summary
As an IT Field Service Technician for the Diocese of Augsburg, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical support of over 1,000 locations across the diocesan territory. Your daily activities involve the physical setup, assembly, and repair of IT hardware, alongside maintaining detailed documentation and inventory records. You will act as a primary point of contact for users, providing 1st and 2nd level support, conducting brief technical orientations, and organizing specialized training sessions. Beyond hardware maintenance, you will manage external service providers and contribute to ongoing IT projects. This role is ideal for proactive professionals who enjoy a mix of hands-on technical work and administrative coordination. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Informatiker) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT field service or technical support
- Experience in project management and supporting change processes
- Proven track record in hardware assembly, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Experience in managing external service providers and technical staff

- Valid Class B driver's license is required for travel to various sites. Identification with the principles and goals of the Catholic Church is expected. Must be available for full-time work (39 hours per week) based in Augsburg.
