Job Summary

As a Wind Turbine Service Technician based in Bad Urach, you will play a vital role in the global transition to sustainable energy by ensuring the operational reliability of wind turbines. Working in teams of at least two, your daily responsibilities include performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting complex electronic and mechanical faults, and executing technical upgrades to optimize turbine performance. The role requires working at significant heights and utilizing digital tools for documentation and reporting. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract under the IG-Metall collective agreement, a comprehensive training program at the Vestas Academy (including qualification as a certified electrician), and a strong focus on work-life balance with no shift work and 30 days of annual leave.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics; Qualification as an Electrician (DIN VDE 0105-100) provided through internal training.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, or mechatronics
  • Professional experience in maintenance and repair of technical systems
  • Experience in digital documentation and using mobile applications for technical reporting
  • Experience working at heights (G41 certification equivalent)
