Job Summary

This role involves joining the newly formed Dashboarding Team at the State Institute for School Quality and Educational Research (ISB) in Gunzenhausen. As an IT Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the 'Startchancen-Programm' by developing a web application for data-driven school development. Your day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and maintaining server and database infrastructures, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system security through robust backup and recovery measures. You will also coordinate with external partners and provide technical support for debugging and performance tuning. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in server administration and containerization who want to work at the intersection of IT and educational science. The role offers a high degree of flexibility with up to three days of remote work per week and a stable public service contract (TV-L) until February 2031.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science or similar).

Experience

  • Professional experience in server administration and database management
  • Practical experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident management tools
  • Experience in scripting and automation for IT environments
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in coordinating with external IT service providers and partners
