Job Summary
As an IT Generalist at Norma Germany GmbH, you will be the primary point of contact for local IT operations, providing comprehensive first and second-level support for end-users. Your daily responsibilities will involve the installation, configuration, and maintenance of diverse IT infrastructure, including PCs, servers, network switches, and production-related hardware. You will play a critical role in maintaining IT security and compliance by implementing patches, managing backups, and developing disaster recovery documentation. Beyond technical support, you will coordinate with external service providers and contribute to global IT projects and rollouts using standard frameworks like ITIL. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on hardware troubleshooting, system administration, and process optimization within a structured corporate environment. The position offers the stability of a permanent contract and the opportunity to work with modern Microsoft 365 and networking technologies.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience as a Network/Server Technician. ITIL Foundation certification or higher required.
Experience
- 3-5 years in network and server technology
- Professional experience in end-user support and hardware maintenance
- Experience in coordinating with external IT service providers
- Proven track record in IT documentation and process optimization
- Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments
Languages
Additional
- CCNA/CCNP or MCSA certifications are considered advantageous. Must adhere to corporate code of conduct and compliance policies. Position is based in a production and laboratory environment.
