Job Summary
As an Electrical Project Engineer at KTE, you will play a vital role in the decommissioning of nuclear facilities, specifically focusing on the Compact Sodium-Cooled Nuclear Reactor (KNK). Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the independent planning and implementation of electrical systems for building technology, industrial applications, and power supply. You will utilize EPLAN to design circuit diagrams and technical documentation while managing sub-projects from a budgetary and quality standpoint. This role is unique as it offers long-term job security in a mission-critical field of national importance—with projects planned well beyond 2060. You will act as a technical lead, coordinating with authorities and experts to ensure all decommissioning and modernization measures meet strict regulatory standards. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering; alternatively, a technical vocational qualification with specialized further training as a Master Craftsman (Meister) or Technician in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in the planning and implementation of electrical systems in industrial or building technology sectors
- Experience in decommissioning, renovation, or modernization of electrical plants is highly desirable
- Proven experience in project management and sub-project leadership
- Extensive experience using CAD software, specifically EPLAN
- Multiple years of professional experience required if applying with a Master Craftsman or Technician qualification instead of a degree

- Medical fitness for work in radiation protection control areas and for work using respiratory protection (atemschutz) is required. Must be able to represent technical positions to authorities and experts.
