Job Summary

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the IT architecture of a regional digital service provider. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring the security landscape to identify threats early, managing incident response measures, and administering the Microsoft Defender suite to protect endpoints. You will be instrumental in optimizing Microsoft Sentinel for SIEM monitoring, integrating new systems into the security architecture, and collaborating with external Managed Detection and Response (MDR) providers. Additionally, you will operate the Tenable vulnerability management system to prioritize risks and harden systems. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys a mix of technical administration and strategic security coordination. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in IT or a university degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in Security Operations and Incident Response
  • Proven experience in the administration of security solutions
  • Professional experience in managing security incidents
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, preferably Tenable
