Job Summary
This role offers a unique opportunity to join the BioCampus MultiPilot (BMP) project, a flagship industrial biotechnology facility, during its critical planning and construction phase. As an I&C Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, installation, and commissioning of all automated systems within the plant. Your day-to-day will involve reviewing technical documentation, supervising on-site execution to ensure compliance with safety standards, and eventually managing the stable operation of control systems once the facility is commissioned in 2027. You will act as a key technical representative for the management team, optimizing automation processes and troubleshooting technical issues. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy a mix of strategic planning and hands-on technical work in a modern, innovative environment focused on the bioeconomy. The role is based in Straubing-Sand and offers public service benefits (TVöD) and flexible working hours.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Automation Technology or Industrial Engineering with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical, automation, or industrial engineering
- Experience in planning, installation, and commissioning of I&C systems
- Experience with relevant technical regulations, norms, and standards
- Experience in process control technology or PLC programming
- Practical experience with medium and low voltage systems is preferred
