Job Summary

The Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office Ostwestfalen Lippe (CVUA OWL) is seeking a Head for its Central Department 100. This pivotal role involves the comprehensive coordination and strategic management of key administrative areas including Human Resources, Finance, Central Services, Facility Management, Controlling, and IT. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the organizational direction and future development of the CVUA OWL's administration, directly leading four department heads and indirectly managing approximately 18 employees. This position offers a unique opportunity to initially lead the HR department, focusing on personnel strategy, labor law, and occupational safety, with a mid-term possibility to transition into leading the Finance and Facility Management departments based on personal strengths. The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and extensive experience in public service administration, particularly in HR or finance, contributing significantly to consumer, animal, and environmental protection.

Required Skills

Education

Qualification for the first entry-level position of career group 2 of the general administrative service (formerly higher service) or completed administrative course VL II (formerly employee course II) or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Extensive and multi-year professional experience in at least one of the areas: Human Resources or Finance, preferably in public service
  • Experience in leading teams or managing larger projects
