Job Summary

As an Industrial Software Developer at GIWEP, you will play a critical role in developing software for thermal-metallurgical plants, focusing on solutions that enable fully automated and energy-efficient operations. Your daily responsibilities will involve project-based engineering, creating technical specifications, and selecting hardware and software components. You will develop process control systems based on digital twins, utilizing complex physical models and mathematical algorithms. Additionally, you will build applications for data mining and machine learning, followed by testing and commissioning software either remotely or on-site at client locations. This position is ideal for those who enjoy seeing their code interact with large-scale physical machinery. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Applied or Technical Computer Science, a technical degree with a focus on Computer Science, or a qualified IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Experience in project-based engineering including requirements engineering and documentation
  • Experience in the industrial sector, specifically with technical processes and plants
