Job Summary
As an IT Systems Administrator for the City of Bad Oldesloe, you will play a vital role in managing the digital infrastructure for seven local schools, overseeing approximately 2,600 end-user devices. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and support of hardware and software, network analysis, and the expansion of server landscapes. You will provide essential technical support to both school staff and municipal administration employees. This position is ideal for a service-oriented professional who enjoys troubleshooting across diverse operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS. Required Skills
Education
Degree or vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, Business Informatics Specialist, IT Systems Electronics Technician, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system integration or electronics
- Several years of professional experience in an IT environment
- Extensive experience with network technology and server operating systems
- Experience in hardware and software maintenance and support
- Experience in public sector or educational IT support is beneficial
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to work non-standard hours if required (school holidays, weekends, or nights). A valid driver's license (Class B) is advantageous. Position is available as full-time or two 50% part-time roles.
