Job Summary
This role involves working at the forefront of aviation technology with MTU Aero Engines in Munich. As a Laboratory Technician or Materials Tester, your day-to-day responsibilities will center on the preparation and analysis of metallographic specimens. This includes cutting, embedding, and polishing samples, as well as performing quality inspections such as microstructure analysis and microhardness testing. You will operate both semi-automatic and fully automatic preparation equipment and document results to ensure high-quality standards in engine production. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Materials Tester (Werkstoffprüfer) or a comparable qualification in metal processing/metalworking.
Experience
- Completed vocational training as a Materials Tester or in metal processing.
- Several years of practical experience in the field of metallography or materials testing if coming from a general metalworking background.
- Experience in operating cutting, grinding, and polishing equipment (manual and automatic).
- Experience in documenting and logging technical test results.
- Professional experience in applying international specifications.
