Job Summary
This role involves the independent procurement of electrical components and services, such as control cabinets, frequency converters, and motors, for a global leader in industrial exhaust air purification. As a Technical Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing measurement technology components for process monitoring, including temperature, pressure, and flow sensors. Your day-to-day will involve developing commodity group strategies, qualifying international suppliers, and conducting complex price negotiations and contract closings. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and quality assurance teams to optimize procurement processes and identify cost-saving potentials. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in engineering or business administration with a strong technical focus.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in technical procurement, ideally within an international industrial environment
- Proven expertise in electrical engineering and/or measurement technology
- Experience in international commodity group management and the awarding of technical service contracts
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP
- Experience in negotiating contracts and framework agreements
