Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance Technician in Erlangen, you will be responsible for the independent inspection of manufacturing, engineering, and planning documents to ensure compliance with quality assurance (QA) regulations and specifications. Your day-to-day activities involve defining inspection scopes, implementing standards for welding and materials, and creating detailed acceptance reports. You will monitor manufacturing processes at domestic and international production sites, verify technical documentation, and perform final acceptance and release of components. This position is ideal for technical professionals with a background in mechanical engineering or materials science who enjoy a mix of analytical documentation review and hands-on production oversight. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training with further qualification as a Technician in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science. Qualification as a Welding Supervisor or certifications in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) are preferred.

Experience

  • Professional experience in reviewing manufacturing, engineering, and planning documents based on QA specifications
  • Practical experience in monitoring manufacturing processes and performing final component acceptance
  • Experience in power plant construction or nuclear technology (new builds, service, or retrofitting) is highly advantageous
  • Proven experience in applying welding and material standards
  • Experience in creating technical reports and evaluations
