Job Summary

This role involves working for a social management consultancy (gsub) on behalf of the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development, Building, and Housing. As a Construction Project Auditor, you will be responsible for the legal and financial examination of funding applications and expenditure reports for socio-cultural and urban development projects. Your daily tasks include reviewing construction planning documents according to DIN 276, ensuring compliance with building standards, and conducting on-site inspections of approved construction measures. You will also provide personal guidance to applicants regarding online procedures and manage budget controls and statistical reporting. This position is ideal for an engineer or construction professional who enjoys working with numbers and databases within a structured, process-oriented environment. Required Skills

Education

University degree, preferably in Engineering or a related construction field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in construction engineering or a related technical field
  • Proven expertise in reviewing construction planning documents (BPU) and building regulations
  • Practical experience in construction site management (preferred)
  • Experience in administrative procedures, procurement law, and the settlement of subsidies
  • Experience in structured data management using databases and spreadsheets

Additional

  • Location: Berlin (Kronenstraße 6). Mandatory 2 days per week in-office presence. Fixed-term contract for 2 years with an option for extension. Applicants must be comfortable with on-site inspections of construction projects.
