Job Summary

As a Cloud Platform Engineer for Airbus Defence and Space, you will play a critical role in managing and operating Kubernetes clusters, specifically utilizing Ubuntu and Microk8s. Your daily responsibilities involve ensuring high availability, monitoring, and patch management to maintain cluster stability. A major focus of the role is the design, implementation, and optimization of automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins within a GitOps framework. You will define and maintain deployment manifests for both applications and infrastructure. Beyond technical tasks, you will collaborate with international security and product teams, coordinate simulation-based research projects, and manage work packages regarding time, cost, and quality.
