Job Summary
As the Head of the Tax Office for the City of Freising, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for a diverse portfolio of local municipal taxes, including trade, property, dog, and second home taxes, as well as street cleaning fees. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve handling complex tax cases, managing legal appeals, and processing applications for deferrals or payment installments. You will also provide expert guidance to staff on legal enforcement and interest calculations while representing the department in municipal committee meetings. Required Skills
Education
Qualification for the Third Qualification Level in Administration and Finance (General Internal Administration or Finance) or a successfully completed Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/BL II) certification.
Experience
- Professional experience in municipal tax law and administrative procedure law
- Leadership experience is preferred
- Experience in handling complex trade tax cases and legal appeals
- Experience in public administration or finance sector

- Must be eligible for German public service employment (TVöD E10 or Civil Servant A11). Requires residency or willingness to work in Freising with a 39-40 hour weekly commitment.
