Job Summary
This role at the Office for Information Technology (AIT) in Schleswig-Holstein involves the end-to-end development and management of specialized IT procedures for the state tax administration. You will act as a hybrid Full-Stack Software Engineer and Product/Service Owner, responsible for conceptualizing, implementing, and maintaining digital work processes. Day-to-day tasks include developing office automation solutions, managing template systems, and ensuring the operational stability of software used across tax offices. You will work closely with federal and state groups to modernize administration through open-source and web-based technologies. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree (or Diploma FH) in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, or a comparable IT-related field; alternatively, a completed IT vocational training with significant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in software development using Java and modern web technologies.
- Experience in developing web applications with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- 5 years of professional IT experience required if applying with vocational training instead of a degree.
- Experience with IT service processes such as requirements and test management.
- Experience in public administration or tax administration systems is preferred.

- The role requires German language proficiency at C2 level. Candidates must be eligible for public service employment (TV-L E12 or Beamte A12). Flexible location with up to 3 days of home office possible after initial training.
