Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Computer Science Study Coordination office at Saarland University, a key hub within the Saarland Informatics Campus. The successful candidate will act as a primary point of contact for approximately 2,000 students, over 75% of whom are international. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising students on academic matters, managing application processes for international Bachelor's and Master's programs, and coordinating the recognition of external exam credits. The assistant will also support examination boards, maintain FAQ sections on web portals, and help organize orientation events and webinars. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (ideally related to Computer Science) or a comparable professional qualification.

Experience

  • Proven experience in handling complex inquiries from students and faculty
  • Experience in coordinating application processes and formal document verification
  • Demonstrated experience in intercultural cooperation and communication

  • The position is fixed-term for 2 years. Due to legal restrictions (TzBfG), only applicants who have never been previously employed by Saarland University can be considered. International degrees must be verified by the ZAB for equivalence.
