Job Summary
As a Materials Testing Technician at a leading international energy and turbine technology firm in Berlin, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of high-precision combustion components. Your daily responsibilities include performing visual inspections (VT1/VT2) and penetrant testing (PT1/PT2), conducting precise dimensional checks, and documenting results digitally. You will work within a modern production environment, collaborating closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize repair processes and conduct final inspections before delivery. This position is particularly attractive due to its long-term security, offering an indefinite contract within a 35-hour work week and high chances of permanent takeover by the client. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in a metalworking profession (e.g., Construction Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic) and valid certifications in VT1, VT2, PT1, and PT2 (NDT).
Experience
- Professional experience in materials testing, mechanical engineering, or industrial manufacturing
- Experience in performing surface crack inspections and visual inspections on high-value components
- Practical experience in quality control and final inspection processes
- Experience working within a shift system environment
Languages
Additional
- Must be willing to work in a rotating shift system. Position is based at a specific production site in Berlin. Valid NDT certifications (VT/PT) are mandatory prerequisites.
