Job Summary

As an Electrical Hardware Engineer based in the Munich area, you will play a central role in an interdisciplinary development project focusing on optical frontends and amplifier circuits. Your daily responsibilities include creating complex circuit diagrams using Altium Designer, overseeing PCB layouts, and performing precise SMD soldering (sizes 0402/0201). You will be responsible for the dimensioning and signal evaluation of optical components, as well as conducting rigorous temperature and EMC testing to ensure product reliability. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with firmware and manufacturing teams to guide products from initial design through to production launch. The position offers significant creative freedom and a modern development environment, making it an ideal opportunity for a proactive engineer who enjoys hands-on laboratory work alongside structured documentation and modular design. The role requires a 50% on-site presence in the Munich region.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in hardware development
  • Extensive experience in creating circuit diagrams with Altium Designer
  • Proven experience in analog circuit design and signal evaluation
  • Practical experience in SMD soldering of small components (0402 / 0201)
  • Experience in EMC-compliant development and measurement is preferred
