Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned Information Security professional to lead the Information Security department and serve as the Information Security Officer at the prestigious German Sport University Cologne. The role involves continuously monitoring and analyzing the university's information security status, documenting findings, and providing essential training and consultation to staff and students. A key responsibility is the ongoing development and implementation of the university's information security concept and processes, ensuring legal and data protection compliance for IT resources. The successful candidate will also manage information security incidents, lead the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), and handle both internal and external communication during incidents. Furthermore, the role requires developing and implementing a Business Continuity Management System (BCM) for information security and contributing to IT system introductions and business processes impacting information processing. This position offers a dynamic and varied work environment within an internationally renowned university.
