Job Summary
The City of Porta Westfalica is seeking a Head of Civil Engineering to lead its municipal department on a full-time, permanent basis. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the technical and economic planning of wastewater systems, road maintenance, and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day duties include budget management for wastewater and street cleaning fees, overseeing the construction and maintenance of pumping stations and sewage plants, and ensuring compliance with legal environmental standards. Beyond technical oversight, you will manage a dedicated team, handle personnel development, and represent the city's interests in coordination with regional authorities. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in Engineering, specifically in Civil Engineering, Urban Water Management, or a related field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in civil engineering or urban water management
- Experience in managing and leading employees
- Practical experience in project processing and technical infrastructure planning
- Several years of practical experience in the field of civil engineering is preferred

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must have the ability to work full-time (39 hours/week) as the position is not divisible.
