Job Summary
The City of Marktoberdorf is seeking a Head of Financial Administration to lead its financial department starting September 2026. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for the personnel and technical management of the finance department, including the preparation of budget plans for the city, municipal utilities, and foundations. Your day-to-day work involves managing real estate matters, heritage building rights, and commercial management of the municipal utilities. You will serve as a key advisor to the First Mayor and represent the city in council meetings, committees, and public assemblies. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with high leadership competence who can handle complex financial structures and public representation. Required Skills
Education
Qualification for the 3rd Qualification Level (QE III) for civil servants or successful completion of the Administrative Specialist Course II (BL II) for employees.
Experience
- Professional experience in public financial administration or municipal finance
- Proven leadership experience with high responsibility for subordinate departments
- Experience in preparing budget plans and managing commercial operations
- Experience in representing organizations in public committees or municipal councils
- Experience in managing real estate matters and contractual negotiations
