Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position offers a comprehensive role within the field of landscape conservation and environmental planning. On a day-to-day basis, the successful candidate will engage in biotope mapping, the creation of landscape and biotope network plans, and extensive field mapping of vegetation, trees, and animal species. The role involves conducting limnological investigations, aerial photo evaluation, and long-term monitoring projects, including specialized tracking of bats and birds. You will also be responsible for preparing species protection statements, environmental impact assessments (UIA/EIA), and landscape management plans using GIS and CAD software. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys a mix of field work and technical planning. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Biology or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in biotope mapping and field mapping of flora and fauna
  • Experience in creating landscape management and development plans
  • Proven experience using GIS and CAD software for environmental planning
  • Experience in environmental monitoring and species protection assessments
  • Experience in applying environmental legislation such as FFH and BNatSchG
