Job Summary

This unique role involves managing a floating accommodation vessel (accommodation ship) moored at the Warnow shipyard in the Rostock Naval Arsenal from April 2026 to June 2027. As the primary onsite Facility Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the vessel, focusing on routine maintenance and technical repairs to ensure the comfort and safety of the personnel living on board. The position is highly hands-on, requiring a solution-oriented professional who can address everyday technical issues independently. While the role title includes 'Barge Master,' no maritime training or seafaring experience is required; instead, the focus is on craftsmanship and facility management. You will work as part of a two-person team, coordinating shifts that may involve either a standard 40-hour work week or a 24/7 on-board presence, depending on final operational requirements.
