The City of Rosenheim is seeking a Head of Central Accounting and Tax Affairs to lead their financial department. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the technical, organizational, and personnel management of the accounting unit. Your daily responsibilities include ensuring high-quality booking standards, handling complex tax evaluations, and coordinating corporate, trade, and capital gains tax returns. You will also serve as the primary contact for the Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS) and oversee VAT declarations for the city. Required Skills
Education
Qualified for the third qualification level of the Administration and Finance career path (non-technical administrative service), or successful completion of Administrative Examination II (Fachprüfung II), or a degree in Law or Economics. Alternatively, a three-year commercial vocational qualification with advanced certification as a Certified Management Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or Tax Specialist (Steuerfachwirt).
Experience
- Professional experience in municipal accounting or public sector finance
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate and organize teams
- Experience in the preparation and coordination of tax returns and declarations
- Several years of relevant professional experience if applying with a commercial vocational background
