Job Summary

This role involves the administration and operation of PEGA Low-Code platforms within the Service and Stability Management department of the Federal Employment Agency's IT System House. As a Senior Professional System Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of software solutions and infrastructures, including design, testing, optimization, and maintenance. A significant portion of the role focuses on coordinating highly critical maintenance measures, risk assessment, and reporting to management. You will work within interdisciplinary teams to ensure high system availability and security across one of Germany's largest IT landscapes. This position is particularly attractive due to its high degree of flexibility, offering up to 80% remote work (home office), a structured onboarding process, and extensive professional development opportunities including up to 20 days of training per year. The role is based in Nuremberg and offers a permanent contract within the public service sector.

Required Skills

Education

University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Computer Science or Business Informatics.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in system engineering or IT administration
  • Professional experience in the development or operation of software solutions and infrastructures
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting complex software and infrastructure issues
  • Practical experience using container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience in the administration of Low-Code platforms
  • Experience in coordinating critical maintenance measures and stakeholder communication
