Job Summary

As a Substation Control Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in monitoring and controlling railway infrastructure systems using SCADA and other advanced control technologies. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting control center systems while ensuring all technical specifications are met in coordination with project management. You will be responsible for documenting operational states in SAP or MS Office, analyzing automation processes in the rail or energy sectors, and performing technical inspections according to DIN VDE standards for low, medium, and high-voltage technology. This role is highly dynamic, requiring the coordination of external service providers and the strict adherence to safety standards. Required Skills

Education

Completed Technician training (Technikerausbildung) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a similar field.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in automation projects, preferably in energy supply, infrastructure, or the railway sector
  • Professional experience in the commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control center systems
  • Experience in coordinating external service providers for on-site assembly and maintenance
  • Experience in technical documentation and process optimization within automation
