Job Summary
As a Characterization Engineer in Duisburg, you will play a critical role in the aerospace and radar technology sector by focusing on the validation and characterization of advanced semiconductor components. Your daily responsibilities include implementing and optimizing high-frequency measurement setups for coaxial and wafer samples in the micro- and millimeter-wave range. You will utilize tools like MATLAB and Python for automated data acquisition and analysis, ensuring rigorous documentation for design and test processes. Beyond technical measurements, you will provide technological support to design, packaging, and production departments, and assist in external series release testing. This position is particularly attractive due to its involvement with high-profile aerospace clients, offering a permanent contract, up to 30 days of annual leave, and a comprehensive employee benefits program. Required Skills
Education
University degree or technical training in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Microelectronics, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the characterization of semiconductor components such as ASICs, MMICs, and RF devices
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and optimizing high-frequency measurement setups
- Experience in data acquisition and automated analysis using Python or MATLAB
- Background in documentation management and cost/time estimation for design and test processes
- Experience in external testing for series releases and qualification measurements
