Job Summary

As a Metrology Technician in the aerospace sector, you will be responsible for the high-precision measurement of assemblies and individual components. Your daily routine involves operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and laser scanners to ensure parts meet strict quality standards. You will create measurement programs, calibrate test gauges, and align welding fixtures and guns. Beyond automated systems, you will perform manual inspections using hand-held measuring tools and conduct specialized non-destructive testing, including ultrasonic, material, and visual inspections of welded groups. This role is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy a mix of programming and hands-on quality assurance. The position offers a dynamic technological environment within a stable company, featuring flat hierarchies and a collaborative team atmosphere. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed technical vocational training in the metalworking field or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in metrology, ideally within the aerospace industry
  • Experience in creating measurement programs for CMM and laser scanners
  • Practical experience in measuring and adjusting welding fixtures and test gauges
  • Background in performing non-destructive testing such as ultrasonic and visual inspections
  • Proven track record of working independently in a structured and reliable manner
