Job Summary
As a Hardware & Systems Engineer at PICKPLACE, an embedded systems agency in Hamburg, you will lead the holistic development of microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems. Your daily work involves designing system architectures, developing analog and digital circuits, and creating EMC-compliant PCB layouts for industries such as defense, rail technology, and industrial controls. Unlike rigid corporate roles, this position offers variety across multiple sectors and toolsets, requiring you to develop embedded software in C/C++, conduct low-level testing, and manage the verification of prototypes. This role is ideal for a versatile engineer who enjoys taking a project from initial concept and schematic design through to external testing and certification. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
Experience
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in the field of electrical engineering or electronics
- Extensive experience in developing embedded systems with various microcontroller classes and manufacturers
- Proven track record in hardware development, specifically in the design and dimensioning of analog and digital circuits
- Professional experience in describing and modeling systems using UML or comparable modeling languages
- Experience in creating test specifications and overseeing testing processes with external institutes
