Job Summary

This doctoral position is based at the University of Regensburg within the Collaborative Research Center (SFB 374) focused on kidney research. Working at the Chair of Molecular and Cellular Anatomy, the successful candidate will conduct fundamental medical research into Nail-Patella Syndrome, a genetic disorder caused by LMX1B mutations. The day-to-day role involves the functional characterization of LMX1B domains, investigating target gene regulation, and studying podocyte differentiation. The researcher will utilize a broad spectrum of ultrastructural, biochemical, molecular, and cell biological techniques, alongside animal models. Beyond research, the role includes presenting findings at scientific conferences and supervising students in Molecular Medicine, Human Medicine, and Dentistry during microscopic anatomy lessons. This position offers a three-year contract within an internationally competitive scientific environment, providing high-level technical training and close professional supervision.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's, Diploma, State Examination, or equivalent) in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field.
