Job Summary
As a Tax Specialist at EG Deutschland GmbH, you will join a leading global independent fuel and retail provider operating over 1,300 gas stations and restaurants in Germany. Based in Hamburg, you will be responsible for managing complex national and international tax issues, ensuring compliance with German tax law including corporate, trade, and sales tax. Your daily activities will include preparing tax returns, calculating taxes for annual financial statements under HGB, and maintaining transfer pricing documentation. You will also serve as a key point of contact for tax audits and liaise directly with financial authorities. Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Tax Assistant (Steuerfachangestellte/r) with relevant further training (e.g., Certified Tax Specialist/Steuerfachwirt) or a successfully passed Tax Consultant exam (Steuerberaterprüfung).
Experience
- Professional experience in a tax firm, tax office, or corporate tax department focusing on corporate taxation
- Experience in preparing tax returns and calculations for annual financial statements
- Experience in coordinating tax audits and communicating with financial authorities
- Experience with intercompany transactions and transfer pricing is preferred
