Job Summary

This Laboratory Engineer position involves the comprehensive management and advancement of laboratory analytics, with a strong focus on isotope analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of laboratory operations, including training scientists and students, maintaining measurement systems and equipment, and overseeing safety standards. A key part of the role is conducting and interpreting advanced isotope analyses, particularly using Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS), and contributing to the scientific-technical development of analytical methods. The role also requires interdisciplinary collaboration and participation in national and European laboratory comparison studies, making it an excellent opportunity for an expert in isotope analysis to contribute to cutting-edge environmental research.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Chemistry, Physics, Geosciences, Environmental Engineering, or related natural sciences

Experience

  • Extensive and demonstrable long-term expertise in stable isotope analysis, especially Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS)
  • In-depth practical experience in chemical analysis and system calibration with a focus on stable isotopes
