Job Summary

This role is based in Penzberg within a leading international research environment, focusing on the development of active diagnostic reagents. As a specialist, you will independently conceptualize, plan, and execute highly complex preparative organic syntheses, including total syntheses, while adhering to strict quality and timeline requirements. A significant portion of the work involves the chemical modification of particle surfaces to achieve specific functionalities, followed by physical and chemical characterization. You will actively collaborate in global cross-functional project teams to solve complex scientific questions and manage changes within established change-control tools. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Chemistry with a focus on Organic Synthesis (Total Synthesis), Macromolecular Chemistry, or Interface Chemistry.

Experience

  • Professional experience in complex organic synthesis and total synthesis
  • Proven track record in process chemistry and preparative laboratory techniques
  • Experience in the modification and characterization of particle surfaces
  • Background in developing diagnostic active ingredients or similar components
  • Experience working within cross-functional, global project teams
  • Familiarity with quality management and occupational safety standards
