As a Transmission Network Planning Engineer at VSE NET, you will play a critical role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining high-performance transmission networks. Your daily responsibilities include the conceptual planning and optimization of WDM, OTN, and MPLS networks to ensure stable and efficient operations. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and monitoring of network components, while also providing 3rd-level support for complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis. A key part of the role involves driving digital innovation by evaluating new systems and manufacturers to modernize work techniques. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable vocational training qualification in the field of Telecommunications.
Experience
- Professional experience in the planning and optimization of transmission networks (WDM/OTN)
- Proven track record in high-level technical support (3rd-level)
- Experience in the installation, configuration, and monitoring of network components
- Experience in evaluating new technologies and systems within a telecommunications environment
- Experience in customer-oriented project implementation and solution design

- Valid Class B driver's license required for site visits and customer meetings. Willingness to participate in on-call standby shifts for network stability. Position is located in Völklingen with options for flexible/remote work.
