Job Summary
This role involves the end-to-end development and refinement of formulations for cosmetic products and detergents within a medium-sized manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for creating customer samples, managing product specifications, and ensuring regulatory compliance through the preparation of INCI declarations, safety data sheets, and microbiological testing. Day-to-day activities include conducting in-process controls such as pH, density, and viscosity measurements, as well as managing raw material approvals and customer inquiries. The position is unique for its flexibility, offering a part-time schedule of 25-30 hours per week, and provides a high degree of autonomy in a collaborative laboratory setting. It is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented scientist looking to combine technical formulation expertise with quality assurance and regulatory affairs in a professional, medium-sized enterprise with short decision-making paths.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Technology, Technology of Cosmetics and Detergents, or a comparable field. A PhD is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the development of cosmetic or detergent products
- Proven experience in laboratory environments and quality assurance protocols
- Extensive experience in formulation and handling cosmetic raw materials
- Experience in managing regulatory requirements and technical documentation
