Job Summary

As an IT Project Manager for Digital Education within the City of Kempten's Office for Daycare, Schools, and Sports, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing the educational landscape. Your daily responsibilities involve developing concepts for the introduction and expansion of IT procedures, including virtualization, IT security, and administrative servers. You will be responsible for the technical support of school IT infrastructure, configuring servers, and installing specialized applications. Beyond technical maintenance, you will lead project management efforts by planning resources, prioritizing tasks, and managing budgets. This role is unique as it combines high-level IT strategy with direct community impact, ensuring that local schools have the digital tools necessary for modern learning. You will work closely with department heads to design and implement robust IT solutions while staying ahead of market trends and emerging educational technologies.

Required Skills

Education

Completed Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, or Social Informatics; or qualified as a civil servant in the 3rd qualification level of the technical career path with a focus on Administrative Informatics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT project management is required
  • Several years of professional experience in the IT sector is desirable
  • Experience in the administration of hardware and software components
  • Experience in conceptualizing and executing IT migration processes
  • Proven experience in resource planning and task prioritization within a project framework
