Job Summary
As a Sales Engineer / Technical Consultant, you will serve as the essential technical bridge between clients and specialist teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve analyzing complex customer requirements to develop tailored solution concepts, creating technical offers, and designing architectural drafts. You will lead product demonstrations, conduct technical workshops, and support tender processes through Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects. The role requires a high degree of collaboration with internal specialists to ensure a seamless transition of projects from the sales phase to implementation. This position is particularly attractive due to its 'Open Source Software (OSS) First' mentality in a Microsoft-free environment, offering significant flexibility through hybrid work, flexible hours, and 30 days of workation per year. It combines technical depth with strategic consulting, making it ideal for professionals who enjoy problem-solving and client interaction.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in (Business/Applied) Computer Science, or vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration/Digital Networking, or IT Systems Management Assistant. Equivalent qualifications or career changers with relevant experience are also welcome.
Experience
- Professional experience in sales, presales, or technical customer consulting
- Technical expertise in at least one core area: Network, IT Security, Cloud Services, or Compute & Storage
- Experience in creating technical offers and architectural designs
- Proven track record in conducting product demonstrations and technical workshops
- Experience in supporting tenders and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel (predominantly day trips) is required. Experience with Odoo, manufacturer-specific certifications, knowledge of ISO 27001/NIS-2, and a Class B driver's license are preferred but not mandatory.
