Job Summary
This role is based at the Chemical and Veterinary Investigation Office (CVUA) Rheinland, a government laboratory focused on consumer health protection in North Rhine-Westphalia. As a Chemical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of cosmetic and food samples. Your daily duties include photo documentation, sample management in laboratory information systems, and the physical preparation of samples—specifically crushing and homogenizing materials for mycotoxin analysis. You will also perform chemical-physical investigations and prepare samples for chromatographic testing. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy hands-on lab work and are committed to maintaining high quality-assurance standards in an accredited environment. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or a comparable professional qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in chemical and chemical-physical investigation methods
- Experience working within accredited laboratory environments
- Practical experience in sample processing, specifically homogenization and crushing
- Experience using Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) and standard office software
- Proven ability to work independently and reliably within a team
