Job Summary

As a Laboratory Technician at the Weihenstephan dairy in Freising, you will play a critical role in ensuring the premium quality and safety of dairy products like milk, butter, and yogurt. Working within a 3-shift system, your daily responsibilities include conducting chemical-physical, sensory, and microbiological laboratory tests on raw materials, semi-finished goods, and final products. You will monitor the entire production process from milk reception to the end product, documenting results and collaborating closely with production, technology, and quality management departments. Beyond routine testing, you will support Research & Development in analyzing new products and validating innovative analytical methods. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Dairy Laboratory Technician, Agricultural Technical Assistant, Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Technician, BTA, CTA, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in microbiological or chemical-physical laboratory analysis is preferred
  • Experience working in a multi-shift system (early, late, and night shifts) including weekends
  • Proven experience in documenting laboratory results and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams

  • Must be willing to work in a 3-shift system including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Role is based in Freising, Germany.
