Job Summary
As a Network Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network components for a company providing Enterprise, Carrier, and Data Center Network solutions across Germany. Your daily tasks will involve providing Second Level Support, collaborating with Technical Assistance Centers, participating in migration projects, and handling 1st and 2nd level support and troubleshooting via remote access, phone, or on-site. You will also maintain documentation in a ticketing system, manage various tasks related to network products, and be part of a regular on-call rotation. This role requires a strong background in IT, practical experience with routing and switching, and comprehensive knowledge of various network technologies and vendor products.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable training (e.g., IT Specialist for Application Development, IT Specialist for System Integration, Industrial System Technician, IT Management Assistant, Network Administrator, or PC and Network Specialist). Certification as CCNA or BPIPA is desirable.
Experience
- Practical experience in routing and switching
- Experience with TCP/IP, Cisco Catalyst, and Nexus
- Experience with test and analysis tools for LAN
- Professional experience with network products from manufacturers like Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper
- Experience in 1st and 2nd level support and troubleshooting
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driving license required. Willingness to participate in regular on-call duties.
