This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the IT Helpdesk and manage the comprehensive IT infrastructure for the City of Dessau-Roßlau. You will be instrumental in evolving helpdesk processes, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems including servers, networks, and databases, and overseeing critical data management functions like backups and recovery. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable IT field; OR University degree (FH/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering; OR Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, IT System Electronics Technician, or a comparable IT-related vocational training.
Experience
- Experience in leading and motivating a Helpdesk team, including organizing workflows and task distribution (advantageous)
- Experience in IT project management and managing external contractors (advantageous)
- Foundational knowledge in the mentioned task areas (desirable)
- If Electrical Engineering degree: At least 3 years of relevant professional experience
- If IT Specialist/IT System Electronics Technician training: At least 6 years of relevant professional experience

- Class B driving license desirable. Must provide a certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority (§ 30 BZRG) upon employment. Recognition of qualifications acquired abroad by German institutions is mandatory.
